Derek Springer, a friend and coworker who is an inspiration for my own homebrewing is up for election to the American Homebrewers Association Governance Committee. If you are a member of the AMA, read up on Derek and consider voting him into one of the five positions up for election.
I’m experimenting with some more fruit flavoring, this time with Lele Ka Meli. It is a honey wheat base flavored with pineapples. The name is, or at least I think it is, Hawaiian for “Flying Honey”.
Looking to try it out for the first time on Easter Sunday.
Last night, Kitty Hawk, the “first flight” of Airport Brewing was mashed, boiled, and lovely placed placed in the fermentation “tank”. Jimmy Rose of Old Crow did an expert job of guidance.
Kitty Hawk will be ready for bottling in approximately two weeks and may be debuted at Kraftoberfiesta 2015 in September.
This homebrew is taking off!
